A monument honoring Abylai Khan was unveiled in 1994 in Burabay resort in Akmola region.

A monument to the first academician of Kazakhstan, Kanysh Stapayev, was opened in Aksu town of Pavlodar region in 2009.

The original manuscripts of Kazakh political figure Mustafa Shokai were handed to the Central State Archives of Kazakhstan in 2010.

A symbolic monument to an engine driver unveiled in Aktobe in 2010.

In 2011, the Kazakh National Bank issued a commemorative banknote dated to the 20th anniversray of Kazakhstan's independence.

In 2017, 6-year-old Ayanat Dauletalina of Aktau won the grand prix of the Prince&Princess of the World international competition held in Bulgaria.

In 2018, Kazakhstan's Roman Loshkarev was the best in the high jump at the Field and Track Open Championship in Israel.
